Update: Comic-Con shuts down for the first time in 50 years.
For 50 years The San Diego Comic -Con was known as the biggest convention of them all. Tickets selling out as soon as they became available. However this years massive event is another casualty of the Corona Virus. Fans had held out hope but with all at stake there was no way they could have pulled it off and organizers had to make the fatal but safety minded decision. Heroes and villains will have to sit this one out and take one for the team. Expect online events and tributes of some sort but this year will definitely be different for fans. |
The Superhero Entertainment Business shuts down over the Coronavirus.
The Superhero Entertainment Business has been hit by an enemy worse than any super villain can dream of, The Coronavirus. The CW's Supergirl shut down before they finished production. Matt Reeves Batman film shortly followed and then Marvel Studios shut down all live action productions. Suddenly all of the comic stores closed. Causing some to believe that without the repetition of comic fans going into the stores it could have a everlasting effect.
As we brace for this new normal in search of high quality superhero entertainment it is perhaps a time to turn to our old comics, or superhero movies and TV shows we may not have given a chance before. The future of superhero entertainment rests on our shoulders. If we choose to be Heroic and look out for ourselves and those around us we can get through this and come out even stronger and more appeciative. Have faith. Heroes and heroics always prevail!
