Stop Motion Fan-Filmaker Chris Chong hopes to keep The Man of Steel Flying with Hope Lives
The Man of Steel fan Chris Chong attributes his appreciation of stop motion animation to watching Superman and superhero videos on Youtube. Fearing that his favorite superheroes screen persona would disappear the way of Superman Returns, Chong felt The Man of Steel deserved a second chance and began working on Hope Lives. A stop motion sequel to the Man of Steel.
Chris says he was originally inspired by Christopher Reeve as Superman. "I always imagined stories of a hopeful, righteous and sincere Superman." Chong said. An architect by day, the stop motion fan-filmmaker went to the keyboard to create a new direction for the franchise which includes a masterfully voiced Brainiac and Bruce Willis's persona as Lex Luthor.
A father of two young girls, Chris turned to his daughter's toy box to round out the cast which includes Lois Lane, Jimmy Olson, Mercy and Supergirl.
Listen for HeroicWorld's Scott Cranford as the voice of Superman.
