Thanks for taking time to talk with me today, Wave! I've got a few questions that I'm sure your fans out there would like to know…

1. What's a typical day in the life of the West Coast's hippest Surfing Detective?

I usually slide out of bed about 6:00 AM and get a jump-start on the surf before it gets too crowded. I'll surf a couple of hours to stay sharp. Then I'll go into the office and go through my list of cases to see which one I want to take. Sometimes my detective work will take me into the night. Otherwise, I devote some time to promotional activities, charity work, endorsements, and keeping my lady fans happy.

2. What's the most dangerous part about your job?

When my detective work requires me to stray too far from the water.

3. What do you do in your spare time?

I spend a lot of my spare time surfing, but I also enjoy the works of Emerson, Dickins, and Melville.

4. What's your favorite color?

Turquoise.

5. What, if anything, upsets you about the treatment of the world's oceans?

Everything upsets me about the way the people treat the ocean! You should treat the ocean like you treat your body. Think about what would happen if you drank a gallon of crude oil.

6. As the hottest surfer in Tide Town, what do you think about the competition - Surfin' Sammy Sundown and Whip Waters?

I feel sorry for them. They will never be as good as me. I've come in second place, and it's never very fun! But at least, maybe I keep them trying.

7. What goes through your mind when you're hanging ten on the perfect wave??

I achieve a warm sense of inner peace and tranquility that is unexplainable. I highly recommend it!

8. How many surfing contests have you won?

Too many to even mention. I don't like to brag. But it's A LOT!

9. What would you be doing if you weren't the world's greatest Surfing Detective?

I would probably be the world's greatest Surfing Rock Star! That way I could have all the shrimp cocktails I wanted.

10. If you could give one piece of advise to all your fans out there, what would it be?

Always keep your head above water. Sometimes, in the ocean of life, you might get caught in the riptide, but keep swimming. I never thought that my body would become a gel-like substance, but I didn't let that slow me down. Jelly or flesh, I was determined to make something of myself. And you can, too!
